Storytelling
Each person has a story and a history. This is a communal place where their stories can be found.
Community
Stories and resources reinforce community and can create something bigger and interconnected.
Positivity
Life is hard, but hearing other people with similar stories can make the world shine brighter.

stories are important to the community
The LGBTea podcast and this website are designed as a place to collect stories, from people and for people, of the LGBTQIA+ community as a way to connect to a larger network. The podcast is based on interviews of anyone 18 or older, and any minor or shy individual who wants to share their story can submit it to be read on the podcast.
This site is also a location for information on support and resources for the LGBTQIA+ community. This is a living resource and will expand as time goes on. Welcome!

she/her/they/them
I have lived in Spokane my whole life, it is my home, my community, and I’m here because I want to make it better. I’m a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a bachelor in Psychology, and a minor in Sexuality and Queer studies. I’m post-graduate in counseling to become a clinical counselor specializing in queer youth and young adults. I currently volunteer for the Washington State Office of Equity Community Advisory Board, which focuses on making sure community voices are heard and represented.
Creating a place where stories are held is extremely important to me, because stories shape history, and when they go untold, they go unremembered, so I am endeavoring to make sure every unique individual and their life has somewhere to be heard and appreciated.
